NRM Exchange 2006

NRM project proponents who commenced new NRM projects during the last 12 months or are about to commence a newly funded project were invited to make brief presentations at NRM Exchange held in each region of the Northern Territory.

Presenters gave a brief 5 -10 min talk on their project and work plan for the next 12 months  including their key anticipated project outcomes.

Presentations were grouped into theme blocks:

• Theme 1 – Community Based NRM Capacity Building
• Theme 2 – Biodiversity Conservation and Management of Threatening Processes
• Theme 3 – Weed Management and Feral Animal Management
• Theme 4 – Community Ranger Programs and Activities
• Theme 5 – Coastal and Marine Projects and Activities
• Theme 6 – Natural Resources: Research and Planning
• Theme 7 – Natural Resources: Sustainable Use   

Members of the Natural Resource Management Board were also in attendance on the day.

It was a great opportunity for proponents to meet others who are doing similar work and to network and develop useful contacts and partnerships!
