The first annual Top End Natural Resource Management Knowledge Exchange was held at the CSIRO seminar room on Vanderlin Drive Berrimah on Wednesday the 4th October. This event was hosted by the Natural Resource Management Board NT and sponsored by the Australian Government (i.e. Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) and the Department of Environment and Heritage (DEH).
This event followed similar events in the other sub-regions of the Northern Territory; at Alice Springs on the 1st of September and in Katherine on the 11th of September.
The Top End Natural Resource Management Knowledge Exchange primarily was an opportunity for people to showcase the projects they are working on to a relevant audience. Presentations mainly featured projects that were granted funding in the last round of the Natural Heritage Trust. The event also presented an opportunity for project managers and others to learn what other projects were occurring in their region and to network amongst these people.
The Top End Natural Resource Management Knowledge Exchange was attended by the NRM Board (NT) Chairman Sue Van-Cuylenburg; Directors John Gilmour and Mike Clark; EO John Brisbin; Project Officer, Investment Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Project Officer respectively Donna Black, Siobhan Denniss and Melanie Hewton.

The event was coordinated by the acting Top End Regional Facilitator for the Natural Resource Management Board NT, Maree Domelow. She would sincerely like to thank all those involved in the event, particularly presenters, for their efforts.
The day was considered a success, and it is anticipated that these events will be continued annually in all regions.
