The Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc (the Territory’s sole regional NRM body) covers approximately 17% of Australia's landmass. The Board helps provide a strategic and coordinated approach to NRM in the NT. We broker partnerships and projects between parties to ensure more effective and strategic delivery, and provide a mechanism for bringing together disparate organisations and stakeholders. We support the smaller NRM groups and communities. The Board plays an important role in the delivery of the Australian Government investments. It has also been asked to provide services and capacity such as monitoring and evaluation, and contract management, to a range of NT groups.

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
P3 equivalent ($83,450 - $87,916)

The position is responsible to the Executive Officer of the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc.

The primary purpose of the position is to implement and manage the Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement
Strategy (MERI Strategy) for the Natural Resource Management Board (NT).

Communications Officer
A06 equivalent ($68,225 - $76,269)

The position is responsible to the Executive Officer of the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc.

The primary purpose of the position is to develop and implement a communication strategy for the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) to communicate information on natural resource management to our communities and stakeholders.

Project Support Officer

The position is responsible to the Contract & Grants Manager of the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc.

The primary purpose of the position is to support a small team in the delivery and management of external funding to the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc. in particular Commonwealth Government programs.

Ghost Net Project Officer
($52,000 - $60,000)

Applicants are sought for the position of Ghost Net Project Officer to facilitate indigenous, community and industry participation in marine debris (ghost net) management in the Northern Territory and Kimberley region and to contribute to the development and promotion of the Carpentaria Ghost Net Programme.

Ghost Net Officers are employed by Northern Gulf Resource Management Group under fixed-term contracts. The Darwin position will be hosted by the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) a partnering organisation. Guidance is provided to the project by the Ghost Net Steering Committee which is formed of representatives from all the indigenous communities working with the project plus three NGO's.

The Northern Gulf Resource Management Group Ltd is a not-for-profit community-based company that plans and advises on issues and best practice management of natural resources.
